2016 marks the fifth year of Holiday Live at Larkin! This is the event that turns Larkinville into holiday hotspot filled with food trucks, live music and unique vendors (including Devil Chicken Design, Beautiful Cookies, Elizabeth’s Granola). It’s a unique way to celebrate the holidays in Buffalo. The event is also very unique to this city.
Throughout the summer, Larkinville is chock full of events and swarming with people. In the fall, things slow down a bit, but fans still look forward to a series of one-off events. In this case, the event features a free wintertime concert that signals the arrival of the holidays. The concert is comprised of original holiday music of local collective Robot Holiday.
A dusting of snow will pair perfectly with hot beverages served by the Filling Station, including their signature hot apple cider spiked with Larkinville’s own BFLO Distilling Co. Apple Brandy.
Not only will there be plenty to eat and drink, Larkinville offers plenty of protection from the cold with its a heated, weather protected boardwalk. It’s the perfect place to socialize with others, as the holiday scene unfolds all around. Plus, new this year, there will be hot coffee served up by Larkinville neighbor Undergrounds Coffee & Roastery.
“Kick off the holiday season Larkinville style, which of course includes the food trucks, live music and a market” said Zemsky. “Between the original holiday music, and festive cheer, it’s become a signature expression of the seasonal spirit in Buffalo.”
