2nd Annual WNYBAC Liquor & Letterpress This Saturday

The Western New York Books Arts Center (WNYBAC) will be hosting their 2nd annual Liquor & Letterpress this Saturday, November 5th from 6-9pm at 468 Washington Street. The event is a fundraiser that benefits the ongoing programming at WNYBAC, which is a non-profit dedicated to book-related arts and printing.

Liquor & Letterpress will feature locally crafted gin, whiskey, rum, and vodka tastings by local distilleries including Black Squirrel Distillery, Lakeward Spirits, Niagara Distilling Company, and Tommyrotter Distillery. The highlight of the evening will include letterpress demonstrations by WNYBAC volunteers and members. Guests are encouraged to participate and create and assortment of hand-printed ephemera to take home including coasters, notebooks, posters, cards and more on the antique printing presses.

After the last print has been pulled, guests can keep the party going at Raclettes, a Parisian-style bistro located just down the block at the corner of Main & Genesee. Liquor & Letterpress guests will enjoy BOGO beer and wine, drink specials, and a special discount on food.

Presale tickets for the evening are $40 a person or $65 for a pair. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door at $45 per ticket. They can be purchased online here, by calling 716-348-1430, or stopping by the WNYBAC store on Wednesday-Saturday from 12-6pm. All proceeds benefit WNYBAC’s mission to promote a greater understanding of printing and book-related arts through education, creation, and exhibition for a broad and diverse community.
