Ladies and gentlemen, the election is almost upon us. Work is keeping you up late at night. Your kids’ grades are slipping. The car is acting up again. You’re spending too much time on the computer. You’re having a tough time sleeping.
If any of the above issues are bothering you, then maybe it’s time to get meditating. But what does that mean? Sitting in the middle of the living room floor with your legs crossed, staring at the wall? Maybe. Or holding a yoga pose for a couple of minutes until your body can no longer take it. That’s could be a good one too.
Cultivation of mindfulness is a known asset to the urban dweller who resides in an environment of distractions.
On December 10, meditation instructors Jose Rodriguez and Jennifer Bruce (mediation instructors at Shambhala Meditation Group of Buffalo) will host a ‘Learn to Meditate Class’ at Shambhala’s new meditation hall – 737 Delaware Avenue. This is the perfect time and place to get your mind and body back into the game of life.
This program is suitable for beginners or anyone who would like to refresh their understanding of the technique.
This is an introductory class that will introduce you to the art of meditating . It’s a three-hour class intended to introduce mindfulness into your daily routine.
Head of the Shambhala Meditation community, Sakyong Mipham reminds us that “the body benefits from movement and the mind benefits from stillness.”
