Re-Discover Your Region: Brookdog’s Breakout in Buffalo, NY

14355595_1766453650302322_55314179209198398_nWhen you think about Buffalo, do you think about fishing? A lot of people do. If you’ve heard about the great fishing in Buffalo, but never really paid much attention to it, then know this – these days, Lake Erie is highly regarded for its fishing, despite over-fishing by commercial enterprises in 2016.

If you want to see a refreshing angle, about what fishing means to Buffalo, and what Buffalo means to fishermen and women, just take a look at this great video produced by Brookdog Fishing Company:

We are a local fishing charter and guiding business.  We have just released the first episode of “Rediscover Your  Region”, a video series designed to highlight the world-class fishery in WNY, while also showcasing other local businesses (i.e. restaurants/breweries).  The first episode focuses on fishing for smallmouth bass and musky in the upper Niagara River.

A significant portion of the episode highlights Big Ditch Brewing and the history behind their namesake, the Erie Canal.  Also featured in the episode is the Lake Effect Diner on Main Street.  We are currently shooting the second episode now, which will focus on fishing the lower Niagara River and Woodcock Brothers Brewing In Wilson, NY.

Fishing is big business in Buffalo. It’s also an excellent recreational sport for many who enjoy the opportunity to get out on the water and spend the day casting for myriad varieties of fish.
