Green Drinks @ The Barrel Factory

Come down to The Barrel Factory this Thursday for Green Drinks! Green Drinks is for anyone who appreciates the green (environmental) movement in Buffalo. The Barrel Factory project was made possible thanks in part to all of the reclaimed wood and ‘green thinking’ that went into developing the complex. Therefore, green activists and community members are going to gather together to toast to the building, the people who made it all possible, and to the biggest winner – the environment.

The Barrel Factory is home to Lakeward Spirits Distillery, Snowy Owl Kombucha, and Elevator Alley Kayak.

During the event, visitors will be able to tour the distillery and learn about the water conservation efforts that are being implemented. The distillery also works with local farmers to reuse the mash that is spent after the process is complete. Learn about these efforts, and other exciting green initiatives taking place in and around Buffalo.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.

Doesn’t anyone care about the raping and pillaging of the earth’s most natural and precious resource, water? You robbed mother earth of H20 for these green beverages so you can celebrate your love of nature all the while you’re killing her with each sip. For shame.
