The Seneca Nation’s $40 million expansion of the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino is starting to come into focus. The addition, as it sits at the corner of Michigan and South Park, looks like it’s going to be a nice infill project, as it helps to round out the rest of the casino complex. The same can’t be said for the rear of the building that faces South Park Avenue (not pictured) – it’s a typical blank rear end of a development.
Once complete, the expansion project will boast 10+ new table games with a high limit room, over 360 new slots, a performance stage for live entertainment at Stixx Sport, a new non-smoking area, additional retail space, a super-sized Buffalo Savors Grill, a Western Door concept restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and new banquet and meeting space.
It will be interesting to see what the new stage looks like, and what sort of acts will be coming through to play. As of late, this city’s music scene has been heating up. Hopefully the live entertainment at Stixx Sport will add to that momentum. Niagara Falls benefits from all of the performers that come through at the Seneca Niagara Casino – might the same be true for Buffalo in a smaller capacity?
