Chad Hollister to Play The 9th Ward @ Babeville

On Friday, November 4, nationally recognized recording artist Chad Hollister will be playing The 9th Ward @ Babeville. This special show is being promoted by the Institutional Advancement Committee at Aurora Waldorf School here in WNY. Funds raised at the show will go towards advancing the Waldorf mission, which offers a unique perspective when it comes to the art of teaching.

Chad has opened for Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Tom Petty

“We are bringing Chad Hollister to play in Buffalo to help support a school that so many families in the region rely upon,” said co-organizer Josh Nussbaumer. The school has been active in WNY for 25 years. Aurora Waldorf School provides a classic, developmentally-appropriate education for students in pre-K through Grade 8. The Waldorf philosophy integrates the arts, movement, and experiential learning throughout its rigorous academic program. An unhurried approach to early childhood is fostered by lots of imaginative play, and practical and artistic activities. “We decided we would bring a high caliber musician to Buffalo, to raise the community’s awareness of this exceptional school and its program, while helping support it financially, and have fun in the meantime!”

My music is positive and reminds all that life is a true gift.

“My music is positive and reminds all that life is a true gift,” noted Hollister, when asked about his upcoming gig in Buffalo and his support for the school. “The band is an amazing group of musicians who bring the songs to life and make you want to dance, laugh and even shed a tear. Aurora Waldorf School provides an education with a structured academic core that nurtures children’s creativity by teaching through the arts, with the highest of academic standards. As an artist, I can relate and am glad to be a part of this inspiring event! It’s our first time as a band in Buffalo and we’re ecstatic to be playing for a whole new audience for a great cause.”

“This LIVE Buffalo debut experience at such an intimate venue – with the 8 piece band including 3 horns and percussion will be one to remember.”
