Buffalo Coloring Book – Local Artist Publishes his own Version

cover-markLongtime Buffalo artist Dan Predmore has come up with his own rendition of a Buffalo coloring book. The coloring book craze captured the imagination of Predmore, who enlisted the help of his girlfriend (also an artist) and his father – a history professor at Daemen College.

The book features a number of whimsical drawings of Buffalo and its cultural reference points. There is also a lot of historical information to go along with the drawings. Altogether, there are 54 pages of Buffalo NY landmarks, designs, artist quotes and descriptions of the city’s architectural landmarks, according to Predmore.

“I have been selling these nonstop since I picked them up from the printer two and a half weeks ago,” says Predmore. “The Albright Knox, Hyatt’s, Record Theater, Spoiled Rotten and numerous other retail outlets are carrying the book.”

“What is unique about this book is that it is printed on thicker paper so the marker does not go through and printed on both sides,” Predmore added. “On one side is the architectural rendering or Buffalo design for people to color, and on the other side are either artist quotes or detailed descriptions of the historic landmarks depicted in the book. The contact information for the historic sites regarding tours, website and other historical information is included to help to promote the city. These were written by my father, a 40 year history professor at Daemen college and myself. The book is dedicated to my late mother for her inspiration and encouragement throughout the years.”

The coloring book sells for $13.95. It can be purchased online here.
