Any realistic Bills fan knew that the 16-0 win in New England was a gift and that with the addition of Tom Brady and a healthy Gronk, yesterday was going to be a blood bath. Buffalo did not disappoint as they were never really in this game. Three out of four division games have resulted in losses and have placed the Bills in a very tough position. With Oakland, KC and Denver all trending up, I don’t see a path where Buffalo can get to 10 wins. They can afford two more losses and even if they SWEEP Jags, Browns, Miami and Jets, they still have Seattle (away), Cinci, Raiders (away) and Steelers.
If I am Terry Pegula, my next phone call is to Jerry Jones and asking what it will take to get Tony Romo.
So, with a coach who praises defense and run game as the best path to victory, what are they really doing? If this was a good defense, there would not be games like Jets, Miami and New England. Think about this for a second, the 3 most embarrassing defensive games of the year have been within their own division! If I am Terry Pegula, my next phone call is to Jerry Jones and asking what it will take to get Tony Romo. Yes, I know that he has had trouble staying healthy but when he is, Romo is one of the best passers in the league. That would at least give the organization a couple more years to find a legit QB.
The season is not over yet but I would like to think about what the long term solution is going to be for this team.
The season is not over yet but I would like to think about what the long term solution is going to be for this team. A big decision is going to have to be made regarding Tyrod in the off-season and the troubling part is that nobody seems to have a solution for an upgrade. Tyrod is good enough to get this team to 10 wins if EVERYTHING else comes together and as we can see, pieces have been falling apart. Is the organizations number one goal to reach the playoffs or to create a Super Bowl champion?
