Public art is everywhere. At least that’s how it seems these days. As I was photographing a new mural project behind the Tri-Main building yesterday, I happened upon a completely different mural project underway one block over. It was Chris Kameck and Nick Conrad Miller, members of Team Razor Wire, who were busy painting on the side of a building on Halbert Street.
The colorful mural is titled Tower of Power, and is the fifth installment of the group’s Advantageous Geometry series. This particular work was sponsored by the Tri-Main Development Corporation and Buffalo Art Studios.
The first installment in the Advantageous Geometry series was at Echo Art Fair. That led to a second work at Black Iron Bistro. Number three was recently completed on Bailey Avenue (I will feature that soon), and the fourth was completed as a mobile installation in Allentown during First Fridays.
