Providence Social Hosts Dog Friendly Happy Hour Series

dog-patio-buffalo-ny-2The last Sunday of every month, Providence Social hosts a doggy happy hour, where responsible dog owners can show up with their four legged friends. Providence Social’s sprawling patio is built for just such a pet-friendly event series. This summer, the patio action could not be beat – especially for dog lovers. Ever since New York State passed a law legalizing dogs on patios, a number of local restaurants have taken advantage of the outcome.

dog-patio-buffalo-ny-3Providence Social has, most likely, the most do friendly patio in the city. On the side of the building, there is a series of painted yellow paw prints (on the sidewalk) that lead people round to the back. There they will find a rear entrance to the patio. Once inside, guests can order from a list of 24 craft beers. There’s also wine and cocktails.

Feeling hungry? To add to the dog-friendliness of the event, food is cooked out on the grill – clams and hot dogs. The food is not available for purchase. Instead, donations are taken. At the end of the event, the donations are all handed over to Buffalo CARES Animal Rescue.

If you’re heading back from the Bills game, and you feel like partying for a while longer, grab your four legged friend and head over to Providence Social for a beer and hotdog. There will be a bowl of cold water awaiting your arrival.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
