Meatball Street Brawl – Inaugural Meatball Festival

The food and beer festivals just keep on coming! This time the party is being led by Nick Pitillo, owner of Osteria 166. Not only has the restaurant become a staple of the food and drink scene in Downtown Buffalo, Nick has also managed to create some fun and festive events along the way. Now he’s up to something entirely different. He’s helping to throw a food festival (in the street) that invites chefs from notable Italian restaurants to step up to the meatball challenge. The event doubles as a fundraiser for Perry St. Francis Scholarship Fund, Meals on Wheels, and St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy.

Enjoy craft beer tastings from local breweries, in honor of Beer Week 2016.

Meatball categories will be both traditional and non-traditional. Not only will there be a host of celebrity judges, there will also be a 2016 Meatball Street Brawl Honorary Chairman – “Baby” Joe Mesi. Chefs will be competing for prizes and top honors.

Meatball challengers include: Osteria 166 | Lombardo’s | Sinatra’s | Mulberry | Frankie Primos +39 | Trattoria Aroma Williamsville | Marco’s | Chef’s | Bada Bing | Snooty Fox | Providence Social | Amici | Tappo | Siena

And what would a meatball festival be without a bocce tournament?
