Annual Black Rock + Riverside Oktoberfest Festival

Author: Austin Rexinger

Fall is here, and this Saturday marks the first day of October. If you haven’t made Oktoberfest plans yet, we have you covered.

Celebrate Oktoberfest in Black Rock and Riverside this Saturday, October 1 beginning at 3 p.m. at Artisan Kitchens and Baths located at 200 Amherst Street (see Facebook event).

The annual Black Rock + Riverside Oktoberfest festival is made possible by North District council member Joe Golombek, the Grant Amherst Business Association, participating bars and restaurants, as well as Artisan Kitchens and Baths.

This year is sure to be quite the party with live music from the Schnickelfritzers, as well as several neighborhood vendor tents represented by: Black Rock History Museum, Carriage Trade Pastry, Fix-A-Bull WNY, HeadStone Heat Hot Sauce, Habitat For Humanity, J&J Jams, and Nickel City Renegade Roller Girls. All of the fun will be set up directly in Artisan Kitchens and Baths parking lot.

Council member Golombek will tap a keg of Shiner Oktoberfest Beer at 4 p.m. —something you will not want to miss.

If for some reason you miss out on a pint at the party, fear not, there will be FREE TRANSPORTATION to nine participating venues in the Black Rock/Riverside area. Two shuttles will begin transportation from Artisan Kitchens and Baths at 5 p.m. and run a loop from location to location until 1 a.m.

Many of the nine establishments will also offer live music, food specials, and $4.00 pints of Shiner Oktoberfest with no cover! See the list below for all of the spots along the Buffalo Oktoberfest party trail.

Rohall’s Corner
Casey’s Tavern
Nye Park Tavern
The Dapper Goose
Croation Club of Buffalo
Barry’s Bar and Grill
Unknown’s Club
Amvets Medallion

Polish Cadets

So don’t miss out on this year’s fun! Remember the party kicks off at 3 p.m. at Artisan Kitchens and Baths, keg tap at 4 p.m. and the official (free) Oktoberfest shuttle for you and your friends at 5 p.m. — See you there!
