A WEDI Benefit – Be the Change that you Want to See in the World

A lot of the positive changes that we are seeing on the West Side of Buffalo can be attributed to the Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI). WEDI not only helps fund businesses incubators (many refugee), the organization also provides essential education components that allow entire communities to flourish.

If you’re not familiar with WEDI, then check out this short video below. It will give you an inside look into how WEDI’s micro loan program is growing businesses on the West Side.

In just a few days, WEDI will be hosting a fundraiser at Resurgence Brewery, where it hopes to raise $15000. The funds will be earmarked toward helping ELL children learn English. The money will also help to provide support for economically disadvantaged individuals hoping to start small businesses.

WEDI’s goals have remained the same after all of these years. The organization has managed to help build a home for those in need, while building a home for itself in the process. WEDI is an essential part of Buffalo. Hopefully we can all help to support this very special cause, and have some fun while we’re doing it.
