In advance of the Buffalo International Film Festival, I figured that I would post a few teaser videos that I felt warranted a look-see. The first trailer that piqued my interest is 2307: Winter’s Dream (Joey Curtis). The film is about a future ice age caused by man. The nuclear winter has forced man to take cover underground, while humanoids run rampant on the surface. The humanoids were designed to withstand the frozen tundra. They were also built as a slave labor force.
2307: Winter’s Dream takes into consideration many of the issues that man is currently facing. As robotics get closer and closer to replicating man, and the environment continues to unravel in ways that we are just starting to grasp, many of the fears that we see in this film are no longer just driven by pure fantasy.
If you’re into Star Wars, The Thing, Blade Runner and Mad Max, then this is the film for you.
