The opening of a new restaurant in Black Rock has already made a huge impression on a respectable business magazine, even before hosting a grand opening*. For an inside look at The Dapper Goose, Owner’s Mag has a detailed account of what we can all expect from owner Keith Raimondi and his staff/’family’ that refers to itself as “Goose Mafia”. Read the article here.
It’s great to see the former Black Rock Kitchen & Bar space making its return as a productive driver of Amherst Street. It’s even better seeing a former WNYer moving back from Philadelphia to open a restaurant of this nature. While in Philly, Raimondi cut his teeth in the bartending world, becoming a star in the industry. Now he’s returning to create a culinary destination in Black Rock.
A restaurant of this nature can be a huge catalyst for other businesses to consider moving into the commercial district. Amherst Street has been a little sleepy as of late – hopefully this new opening will get the ball rolling again. Amherst Street has limitless untapped potential.
*The Grand Opening is next Wednesday, September 7, 2016. There will be a limited menu and the back patio action will not be open yet.
