WNY VegFest has turned out to be a significant rallying cry for people to lead vegan and vegetarian lives. The festival is centered around leading a healthy and sustainable life, by choosing to eat a non-meat diet. This will be the third year that veggie lovers will gather together to learn about delicious vegetarian food, markets, restaurants, vendors… and the people who help to cultivate local practices that showcase the benefits of eating responsibly.
This year’s WNY VegFest is being held at Riverside Park in Buffalo on Sunday, August 7. The day will begin with the Tofurky Trot 5K Run/Walk at 10am. From there, the music festival starts at 11am. There will be a number of live music acts and performances throughout the day, including speakers such as Dr Tom Campbell, Tim Kaufman the 400 pound vegan, and Casey Taft.
This is a great opportunity to learn about all of the ways that Buffalo is changing, by opening people’s minds that there is life beyond the chicken wing.
