Sunday, August 14 is the last day of the Pine Grill Reunion. The event pays tribute to some of the finest jazz musicians to play in Buffalo at the Pine Grill (now gone). These musicians were some of the finest in the world. Each year, myriad jazz musicians come together to keep the spirit of the Pine Grill alive. At some point in time, it would behoove an entrepreneurial jazz fan to rebuild the Pine Grill, especially now that jazz is making a comeback in Buffalo.
The free concerts have celebrated diversity through tribute to its truest American form – the legacy of jazz.
If you missed the first date of the Jazz Reunion (last Sunday), then this is your last chance to catch a handful of some of the best jazz musicians in the region, including Zoe Scruggs and Delvin Payton (the Lyfe Band).
