Moslow Brothers Celebrates 100 Years with Buffalo-Themed Products

A local manufacturing company has launched a line of Buffalo-themed and personalized products. Moslow Brothers is currently celebrating its 100 year anniversary, which inspired the creation of the handsome line of Buffalo trays. The trays are made out of Northeastern Hard Maple, which is a sustainable resource that is sourced within 60 miles of Buffalo.

Moslow Brothers is located at 375 Norfolk Avenue, where it is operated by owner David Moslow. Moslow’s great grandfather founded the company, which specializes in custom-crafted products for the award, recognition, engraving and gift industries.

Buffalo-platters-Buffalo-NY“Our commitment to quality manufacturing and rapid customer response has kept us in business decade after decade and has made us one of the most popular suppliers in the awards industry,” said David Moslow. “We’re hoping the addition of our new product line — made right here in Buffalo using genuine Hard Maple grown within a 60-mile radius of our manufacturing plant — will capture the attention of a new generation of customers.”

Buffalo-Coaster-Buffalo-NYThe company got its start by producing wood products for the US Army during World War 1. Then it got involved with manufacturing wood furniture for locally based Kittinger Furniture. Eventually the direction evolved into a focus on the awards and recognition industry, which has been the concentration since 1960. Each of the family-operated owners, Martin Anthony Moslow (1917), Joseph Moslow (1930), Neal Moslow (Neal) and David and Robin Moslow (current), contributed significantly towards the direction and growth of the company.

“Maple is a traditional wood used for cutting boards because the wood is very dense,” added Robin Moslow. “Everyone’s grandmother had a maple cutting board because they can stand the test of time with proper care and can even be handed down from generation to generation. In addition to being food safe, we are now personalizing them to meet the needs of today’s cooks and consumers.”

Some of the current items that are being manufactured are cutting boards, serving trays, bread/cheese boards and lazy Susans. There are a wide variety of sizes, depending on the items. Prices start at around $29. Not only do the products feature buffalos on the front, and “Made in Buffalo” on the back, they can also be completely customized. This is an easy way to support local and promote local at the same time. For weddings or the holidays, these gift items are the perfect way to make long lasting impressions.
