The City of Good Neighbors strikes again. This time, there is an effort underway to raise money for the people of central Italy, near the town of Amatrice. Trattoria Aroma (all three locations) will be donating partial proceeds from its pasta sales to help with the earthquake relief effort. For every Bucatini all’ Amatriciana sold, Aroma will donate $5 to the cause. They will also donate $1 per pasta entrée. This fundraiser lasts though Saturday.
The Trattoria Aroma family of restaurants is heartbroken by the news of the powerful earthquake that struck central Italy near the town of Amatrice this week. The region and its culture has been an inspiration to us and we’d like to help out by doing what we do best – preparing house-made Italian food for our families and our customers.
“We have visited and borrowed so much from the small towns and regions of Italy, that we felt a strong sense of place and sadness through these connections that we felt strongly about trying in some small way to contribute to the relief efforts,” said Trattoria Aroma owner Dave Cosentino. “It’s worth any effort to try to preserve and protect the historical culture, structures, traditions, and beauty that Italy offers.”
