There is yet another art festival that has popped up on our radar. It’s fittingly called Arts on Ridge, because is held on Ridge Road between South Park and the Lackawanna Public Library. On Thursday, September 22, starting at 6pm, Ridge Road will be lined with artists from all over the region, including sketch artists, watercolorists, guitarists and metalworkers.
By pairing talented participants with local businesses, the event intends to attract individuals to our lovely establishments here in Lackawanna to highlight the upswing that our once forgotten city is making.
This highly anticipated festival will feature a diverse segment of artists, who will be showing right in the heart of Lackawanna. The festival is designed to enhance the resurgence efforts of the community, while highlighting positive characteristics of the Ridge Road corridor.
Lackawanna is About FACE: Food, Art, Culture, and Everything Else.
The festival brings together fans of food, inspiring art, and fascinating culture. While you’re there, pop into a local restaurant or shop, or any one of the nearby establishments. The town can’t wait to show off for visitors in 2016. So bring the entire family, and spend the day in a part of Lackawanna that is coming around the corner, strong.
