NEXUS Pass Sign Up at the Buffalo Airport

If you’ve ever noticed all of the cars whizzing by you while you’re waiting in long lines at the Peace Bridge, then you’re probably not familiar with the convenience of NEXUS. Beating the traffic at the bridge is great, but did you know that NEXUS holders also get to skip long lines at the airport? My wife and I never realized this efficiency until we were directed by one of our gate agents to bypass a straggling line of travelers, which literally saved us half an hour in line. Had we known that NEXUS also worked wonders at airports, we would have applied for the passes much earlier than we actually did.

Receiving expedited clearance through the U.S. Transportation Security Administration Pre-Check lines at over 150 participating U.S. airports.

Our last few airplane excursions, using NEXUS, saved us an unbelievable amount of time. Not to mention the time that we save crossing into Canada over the Peace Bridge (and back). Now that we have NEXUS, we’re not sure what we would do without it.

NEXUS includes Global Entry, which is located at most major airports, TSA Pre-Check, and expedited processing for boaters.

To make the process of getting a NEXUS Pass even easier, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority has announced that US Customs and Border Protection will be holding a NEXUS Pass Sign Up event at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport this August. In order to enroll for the event, participants must be pre-registered online before July 24.

NEXUS members may cross the border on the Whirlpool Bridge in Niagara Falls, which is now NEXUS exclusive.

There is no better time than to jump onboard with NEXUS. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 16 and Wednesday, August 17, from 9 am to 7 pm at The Buffalo Airport. The process is super easy, and will save loads of time in the future, whether traveling by plane, or driving/boating into Canada.

NEXUS application fees are $50 for adults, children under the age of 18 are free. Once received, the cards are valid for five years at which time participants must renew their membership.
