Chalkfest Buffalo: Monsters on Main

Monsters on Main will be the theme for Chalkfest Buffalo 2016. The event’s Live Storybook Kid’s Zone will pay homage to Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are. This is going to be a huge crowd favorite – many of the sidewalk chalk drawings throughout the festival will reflect the ‘Monsters on Main’ theme.

Along with awesome sidewalk chalk drawings, there will be food trucks (Frank’s Hot Dog Truck, RnR BBQ Truck, House of Munch Truck and Thai Me Up Truck), as well as a host of participating restaurants, including Just Fries, Raclettes, D’Avolio, eCafé, and Molly’s on Main.

This year the Cookie Monster will be making a live appearance at the “Wild Things” party, where there will be snacks and beverages handed out to the kids. Explore & More Children’s Museum will also be participating this year, adding to the overall kid-friendly nature of the festival.
