On Monday, July 4, starting at 10:00 am, the community is invited to attend an Independence Day celebration that will honor WNY veterans. The Wall of Honor Ceremony is being presented by the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park.
The July 4th weekend is a time to gather together with friends and family, to picnic, throw back a couple of cold ones, play volleyball, etc.
But we must remember that the holiday is also a time to reflect upon and honor those who have fought (and sometimes died) while protecting this country.
The ceremony will include the Greater Buffalo Firefighters Fife & Drum Corp., a Navy Color Guard, songs sung by the Buffalo Dolls, Sea Cadets, Naval Park docents, and honored guest NY State Senator, Tim Kennedy.
