Throughout the summer, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) offers up some public programming that you don’t want to miss.
Every Thursday, the BNMC hosts an outdoor concert series called Tunes in the Tent, where at least one member from the band works at the campus. The first concert kicks off Thursday, July 7 at noon, showcasing the talents of The Larkin Plan. Concerts are free and open to the public. Swing by, grab some lunch, and listen to some live tunes at the corner of Ellicott & Virginia Streets.
Other notable events and activities include:
- Walks on Wednesdays: Free guided tour walks every Wednesday this summer from 12:10-12:40 PM. The walks start and end at Kaminski Park (Elm & Carlton Streets) and feature a new leader each week who takes the group down a different route. Next week’s walk will be led by Phil Haberstro from The Wellness Institute.
- Farmers’ Markets: Fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies are right around the corner all summer long. Some farmers’ markets near to the BNMC are: Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Farmers’ Market at Kaminski Park every Wednesday from 11 AM-2 PM. MAP Mobile Market every Thursday from 11 AM-1 PM at the Moot Senior Center (292 High Street) and every Friday from 11 AM-1 PM at The Salvation Army (640 Main Street).
