Buffalo brunches just got a big boost. It’s official. Brunch-goers can now start consuming Bloody Marys two hours earlier. Instead of popping the cork for mimosas at noon, brunch lovers can now show up at 10am to get the Sunday funday party started.
“The commonsense changes we have made to our state alcohol laws in recent years have been good for consumers and businesses alike,” said Assemblyman Sean Ryan. “The Brunch Bill allowing alcohol sales at restaurants starting at 10am on Sunday is another smart change to our outdated prohibition-era alcohol laws. I am pleased that an agreement has been made between the Governor, the Senate, and the Assembly to make this important change, and many other changes to streamline and improve the state alcoholic beverage control law. Allowing restaurants to serve patrons Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s with brunch before noon on Sunday will help give these businesses a boost, and allow New Yorkers to enjoy alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.”
