Over the course of the last few months Buffalo has been graced with the presence of a new video blog entity. Buffalo Music Cooperative (or as I’ll be referring to it, BMC) has been focusing its sights on the very talented musicians of the city, and this Saturday, May 14th, BMC has a special treat for its listeners. They will be filming their season finale in front of a live audience at Resurgence Brewery and everyone’s invited to the party.
For the season 1 finale, music fans at Resurgence Brewery will be able to hear acoustic sets from The Tins (indie/pop rock) and Grace Stumberg (rock/pop).
BMC has been covering some of Buffalo’s top talent as well as showcasing some of the city’s iconic landscape by filming in locations such as Babeville, Larkin Square, the BT&C Gallery and many more. This is an important part of what the series is trying to accomplish, since the whole idea is to show a link between Buffalo and the musicians that live within it.
We take a creative approach in showcasing their music while highlighting their thoughts on our changing city and growing music scene.
“We want to raise awareness about the talented people living in our city,” said series host Bryan Sibbitts “We take a creative approach in showcasing their music while highlighting their thoughts on our changing city and growing music scene.”
BMC is already working toward the next season as they look forward to following up on the success of season 1. On the future of the cooperative, Sibbitts says, “Moving forward, we want to continue to feature musicians from all backgrounds and genres. They all have unique stories that should be heard – we want to tell them. Whether it’s through our new podcast, an acoustic session or a BMC episode, we are giving musicians a new platform to connect with the community.”
