For years, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC) has been a big advocate of the Buffalo beer scene. As part of the campus’s public programming advancements, beer lovers have been attending the Beakers and Beers events that are held throughout the city. Last year, the Medical Campus got around to hosting the inaugural Brewing Science – Annual Craft Beer Tasting. Guests to the event were provided with beer tastings, food, live music and a customized beaker.
Because you love beer, Buffalo, and helping an amazing cause.
“Brewing Science is an excellent opportunity to sample some of Buffalo’s finest microbrews, support an excellent cause at Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute (HWI), and see the inside of an iconic building on the BNMC,” said Emily Constantine who sits on the Board of Directors at the institute. “HWI conducts world-class research in the field of structural biology to get to the root cause of disease and set the path for cures. Ask for a tour when you are there to get to know this incredible asset in our community!”
Beer artisans and scientists will be on hand to discuss the brewing process on a number of different levels.
This year, the $40 ticket price includes beer, food from Lloyd Taco, a beer beaker, and a musical performance by Mary Beth King.
Money raised at the event will be directed to the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute.
