The Frizlen Group, father Karl and son Jason, is putting the final touches on one of its latest development projects, while leasing a number of completed units at the same time.
What was formerly a massive empty lot is now the home of two mixed use buildings – building A and building B. Building B is 95 percent occupied currently, and building A will be wrapping up construction on June 1 (already 35% leased).
The apartments are appealing, featuring one and two bedrooms, lots of included amenities, a few with small patios, and all with one and two-car garages. The expansive site allowed for the parking garages to be built beneath the units.
As for the commercial storefronts (see lead image), one is already leased out as a hip and trendy barbershop, while the other one could possibly be a wine venture, although the operation might have hit a snag.
This new development sits super close to Deep South Taco (coming soon), and is directly across the street from the recently announce Lexington Co-op’s second location (see above). “We bought the property two years ago,” said Jason. “We had not idea that The Co-op would be moving across the street. We also weren’t aware how quickly Hertel would be gaining in momentum.”
