A second building at the corner of Main and Chippewa streets has new signage. The Comfort Suites hotel is now a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It is kitty-corner to 50 Fountain Plaza and its new Lippes Mathias signs.
Visions Hotels owns the 146-room seven-story hotel that has had three prior brandings. The Consentino Cos. opened the hotel in 1991 as a Journey’s End Suites hotel. It switched to a Radisson Suites in 1994 and a Comfort Suites in 2004.
Holiday Inn Express is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group encompassing nine brands and 4,900 hotels in nearly 100 countries. There are currently over 2,400 Holiday Inn Express hotel locations around the globe.
