Once again Yace Booking has put together a phenomenal line-up of local bands that will be taking over Buffalo’s Gypsy Parlor this Friday, April 15th. Since the company’s creation in mid-2015 the guys over at Yace have shown that they clearly know what’s-what among a city that’s filled to the brim with talent.
First up are indie newcomers Feverbox. They may be new, but in name only. These guys have been around the Buffalo music scene for ages, first as members of the recently retired Inlite, then as the backing band for Royal Tongues. The group has most recently been making a name for themselves with this dance-worthy incarnation. Don’t be late, you won’t want to miss it.
Next up is dreambeaches, the brain project of Corey Bzibziak, Gabe Wells and Jacob Peters. The band dropped a catchy dream-pop track a few weeks ago called “Graduation Day” off of their soon to be released EP. Be prepared to have it stuck in your head after this set.
Garage rockers, Skirts, are taking the stage for the penultimate slot. The group released their EP “What Do You Wanna Do” via Dadstache Records this January.
Closing out the night is Buffalo’s favorite surf-indie quartet Bryan Johnson and Family. Definitely expect them to keep the party rolling as the night wears on. In 2014 the band put out “Cool Your Jets” through Admirable Traits Records and are rumored to be working on a new album. Maybe concert attendees will be treated to an early preview of some fresh tracks.
