Inaugural Goals Premier Cup at Buffalo RiverWorks

street style futsal tournament is coming to RiverWorks for the first time in May. RiverWorks has become home to a number of different athletic programs and tournaments since it first opened its doors, including martial arts, lacrosse and pickleball. Now street-style soccer will be making an even larger impression on the facility, by premiering some of the best players in the region who have begun to elevate the game of soccer in WNY.

Not only has soccer ‘the beautiful game’ been gaining grounds in Buffalo, the fandom surrounding it has been soaring exponentially.

Our mission is to create a premier, dynamic and fun adult futsal tournament to promote our local soccer community and showcase the amazing growth happening in Buffalo.

The inaugural street style futsal tournament will also feature a number of ancillary activities, including a youth soccer clinic. Another goal of the event/tournament is to create scholarship opportunities for young players who show promise in the sport.

On May 21, tournament organizers will be converting the RiverWorks covered outdoor hockey rinks into three courts of 5v5 soccer futsal action. This is a big deal for those who have been looking for this type of tournament play, at a facility that can accommodate the type of action that the sport demands.
