Food delivery service has not only come to Buffalo, it’s also taken some new twists and turns a long the way. Take, for example, Nourish Nova, a meal delivery service that is aimed at pregnant women, and those who have recently given birth. Touted as Buffalo’s first pregnancy and postpartum meal delivery service, Nourish Nova intends on ensuring that expectant mothers don’t have to worry about eating properly – the weekly delivery service takes care of just about everything nutrition-wise.
Nourish Nova is a meal delivery service specifically designed to help nurture fertility, promote a healthy and blissful pregnancy, and to provide revitalizing and supportive nutrients for mama and baby after birth.
The company was founded by a couple of millennials – Sarah Ernst and her husband James (inspired by their daughter, Stella), who recently moved back to Buffalo. The move back home prompted the couple to start the business – they work out of a commercial kitchen in the Elmwood Village..”This is the first service of its kind to start in the Buffalo area,” they said. “There can be so much uncertainty when it comes to “what to eat” when your pregnant or breastfeeding. Our joy is to provide families with the opportunity to focus on love, nurturing, and bonding after birth and leave the food up to us. No shopping for fathers, we deliver the meals right to the doorstep.”
Whole, lactogenic, nourish, organic, healing.
During and after pregnancy, there are enough things to worry about. If Nourish Nova can take care of one of the basic necessities, it frees up time for so many other important daily duties. Also, who the heck knows what is best for the developing baby/new born? Sarah and James do! “Our meals are micronutrient dense, lactogenic , mostly organic and delicious so mama and baby receive the nutrients they need,” noted the couple. “Mothers can also receive meals as a gift- giving… leaving much needed peace of mind, and more time for bonding and sleep after birth!”
