There’s a new brew enterprise floating around that’s got beer lovers on high alert. Peter Hanley, founder of MadHops, is launching a Kickstarter campaign to get his unusual product off the ground and into ordinary beers around the world. Peter’s concept, MadHops, calls for Flavored Brew Drops® to be added to ordinary beers such as PBR and Bud. By adding just a few drops of the taste enhancing liquid to a cheap beer, Peter says that the brew suddenly morphs into ‘a flavorful, aromatic beverage’. He likens the process to MiO® – an ingredient that flavors water.
“If you like beer, you’ll love MadHops. Even if don’t like beer, you’ll love MadHops,” says MadHops founder, Peter Hanley. “I’m so excited to finally introduce MadHops to beer drinkers nationwide. This product is really going to change the beer industry, acting as a gateway from traditional beer to craft beer as MadHops prepares beer drinkers for the complexity of craft varieties.”
Beer lovers and beer not-so-lovers alike are invited to attend the MadHops Kickstarter Launch Party on April 7, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm at DIG Buffalo, 640 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, NY in the Innovation Center at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
The invention is being directed towards budget conscious consumers who don’t want to spend $7 on a craft beer. Along with the hops, bittering, malts and flavorings that are found in top of the line brews, MadHops also incorporates flavor profiles that include Cherry Wheat, Pale Ale, Irish Porter, Mexican Lime, Wild Blueberry, and Apple Amber. That means that by adding a few drops to your ‘bottom of the barrel’ go-to, you will suddenly be drinking a real king of beers.
Join Peter, friends, beer fans and Kickstarter backers (site is not live yet) on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 5pm for the big launch at DiG Buffalo. Guests will be able to pre-order MadHops, talk to Peter and discover what this unfolding phenomenon is all about.
Guests to the event will also be invited to participate in blindfold tastings between MadHops and the beers that they were designed to replicate.
The event is open to adults aged 21 and over and will feature light fare and free tastings of each of the six original flavors.
