Walking tours of Parkside are wonderful, but getting a chance to step inside some of the historic homes in priceless.
Each year, the Parkside Community Association plans a Tour of Homes that invites history, design and architecture lovers inside a number of the most remarkable homes in the region. Architectural styles encountered along the way include American Four Square, Victorian, Colonial Revival, Craftsman, and the Arts & Crafts bungalow. The houses on the tour were built between 1880 and 1930. A number of the houses were designed by coveted local architects such as E.B. Green and William Sydney Wicks.
Spend some time on Hertel, and enjoy this wonderful opportunity to explore these architecturally significant homes that are found nearby.
