The West Side Bazaar is inviting the community to attend a celebration that recognizes the achievements of women in Buffalo (and the world). As part of International Women’s Day, a host of inspirational women will be on hand to demonstrate their prowess in a variety of artisan skills, including Bollywood dance, henna body art and marimba music.
Throughout the year, the artisans at West Side Bazaar participate in a number of festivals, activities and events, so that the community can share in the cultural bounty that immigrants and refugees bring to this city. The achievements of all women, throughout the world, will be acknowledged at this celebration.
Part of the celebration entails the community contributing photos of women at work, which will be part of an ongoing art project at the bazaar. Visitors at the event will get an initial look at the project in its infancy.
Join the West Side Bazaar in celebrating Women of the World on Friday March 18, 2016 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.
This event is FREE to the public and open to all ages. Samples of world cuisine will be provided.
