Inspired by a giant bunny rabbit that ended up at the doors of an SPCA in Scotland, Fowler’s Chocolates has created its own edible version of the critter. The story goes that Atlas, a 23-pound Continental Giant Rabbit, was too much for his elderly owners to handle. After being dropped off at the SPCA, workers sent out a call, searching for loving parents. Emails came back from all over the world, expressing an interest in adopting Atlas, who ended up finding a home in Scotland.
An Easter story with a hoppy ending.
The story of the homeless giant rabbit prompted Fowler’s to create a three foot tall, 18 pound, semi-solid milk chocolate version of Atlas – the rabbit that became an overnight sensation.
Fowler’s will be donating partial proceeds of every bunny sold to the SPCA in Buffalo and in Atlas’s hometown of Cardonald, Scotland. The enormous chocolate rabbit will be available at all seven Fowler’s locations through Easter. Call the chocolatier’s flagship store for details (see below).
