Despite this winter not being much in the cold, snow and ice department, the 4th Annual Ice-Man 2-Miler is still on track to be one of this season’s most anticipated runs. The run, which supports the Buffalo Police Athletic League, is set to take place on Saturday, February 27 at Delaware Park (10am start).
The Ice Man 2-Miler is considered the ‘Event Finále‘ of the Frozen Four Series. “Frozen Four is a series of four running events throughout the region,” says Lawrence. “Participants must complete all four to obtain the series token and vie for places.”
Race organizer Mark Lawrence is committed to delivering the best races throughout the year, and prides himself on organizing flawless runs no matter the season. “Winter races are a great test of year round fitness and motivate many athletes to keep a solid base during the traditional off-season,” continues Lawrence. “The past several years off season racing has seen a lot of attention thanks to the die hard participants and volunteers braving WNY winters. A terrific running scene and many options exist here in WNY proving fitness has no season!”
