The Buffalo Auto Show is coming up on the weekend of February 11 to the 14. Each year, the show attracts thousands of WNYers who don’t have a lot of time to window shop, but would rather see all of the newest models under one roof. It’s an easy way to get familiar with the cars, without being subjected to any of the sales pressures that are associated with the dealerships. From the best all road vehicles, to the compacts, to the eco friendly, to the state of the art, there’s a car for just about everyone at the show.
This year, along with the loads of cars, there will be a number of special guest appearances, including members of the Bandettes, along with Buffalo Bandits players Ryan Benesch, David Brock and Dhane Smith (6 to 7 pm – Friday, February 12). On Sunday, the three star Buffalo Bills players that made up the “Bermuda Triangle” will be reuniting for a special autograph session. (2-4pm). Fred Smerlas, Jim Haslett and Shane Nelson will sign away for $10 a pop (3 for $25), with all proceeds directed to Cure the Blue (prostate cancer awareness). Other Bills alumni will also be making guest appearances on that day, including Wall of Famer Booker Edgerson.
Other guest appearances include:
- Spiderman, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
- Captain America from 3 to 6 p.m. both days
- Gigamaxx, a one-of-a-kind living, thinking robot with human-like emotions, will also make a special appearances Saturday and Sunday at the Dodge Dealers display
