Spring It On, Buffalo’s united front for non-profit fundraising initiatives, will be held once again on March 24, 2016. Last year, a combined $174K was raised through the cooperative effort, with over 250 agencies participating in the campaign. Since its inception, the local Spring It On campaign has raised $371,000.
Spring It On revolves around a 24-hour fundraising drive that each organization participates in, coordinated all at the same time. That means that there is power in numbers. Each group lends a marketing arm to the initiative in order to spread the word far and wide. It allows for a concerted effort upon the part of the non-profits. It also sends a signal to the community that there are numerous agencies that need financial support in order to carry out their initiatives. Not to mention the benefits that come along with increased awareness.
This is the fourth year that the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County will run Spring It On in Buffalo. At this point, non-profits that have not registered in previous years are invited to do so. Each organization is allowed to set up a fundraising page on www.SpringItOn.org.
The event will run from 8 AM on March 24 until 8 AM on March 25. Organizations interested in participating should contact Katie Buseck at 887-2714 or email Katie.Buseck@uwbec.org to learn more and to register.
