Videographer, social commentor, and Buffalo booster Griffin Jones is offering up some more insight into the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’ in the city. What is it that we want that will make us happy, in our personal lives and as a collective (a city)? How far have we come, and in what departments? What are other cities doing that we should be looking at? What do we know about other cities? Their art scenes? Food scenes? Economies? And what do they know about Buffalo? That’s the real question.
In typical Griffin fashion, he has an assignment for us. Over the next six months, Griffin is challenging each one of us to bring someone to Buffalo who has never been here before. Maybe a relative? Maybe a college classmate? Maybe expand your Match.com coverage? In any case, set up your companion in a B&B, or one of the new hotels, The Buffalo Niagara Hostel, or even via a couch-surfing expedition. However you get them here, and wherever they stay, the important thing is that they visit Buffalo.
Griffin is asking that we be proactive. Ask some people who have never been here to pay a visit. See what they have to say. We can learn a lot from people who are able to look at this city with fresh eyes, and a new perspective.
