Do you make something in Buffalo? Are you the type of person that is constantly drumming up new creations to market and sell? Or do you make things simply for the sake of making? If so, then it’s time that you join the rest of the “makers” in Buffalo for the 3rd Annual Mini Maker Faire.
Currently, faire organizers are looking for people who invent, create, build and make their own gizmos. It’s all part of the growing DIY lifestyle where people are coming out of the woodwork to fabricate and build products. The faire welcomes all crafters, homesteaders, scientists, garage tinkerers and inventors.
The Buffalo Museum of Science (BMS) has announced its call out for “Makers” to participate in the 3rd annual Buffalo Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, May 7, 2016 – 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Makers may include the following:
- Robotics, builders & clubs
- 3D printing enthusiasts
- Woodworkers, machinists & welders
- Mobile app designers
- Food makers, growers & foragers
- Drone enthusiasts & builders
- Knitters, weavers & yarn bombers
- Solar engineers
- Artists & sculptors
- Fashion designers

The Mini Maker Faire is put on by the Buffalo Science Museum. Applications are being accepted through March 14, 2016. Remember, not everything needs to be super techy. There are plenty of DIY products that are non-electronic based, and are still very interesting. Whatever it is that you make, there will always be people who find it fascinating.
To apply, visit makerfairebuffalo.com. There is no minimum age restriction – young makers are encouraged to apply.
