Sugar City keeps spinning right along, by hosting its biannual record fair on February 27 from 11am to 6pm.
The event brings together local vinyl stores, distros and individuals who attend the fair in order to sell off bits and pieces of their collections while adding a few prized albums along the way. The record fair is free for the public to visit, making it the most accessible vinyl fair in the area. The fair features thousands of records, and even some cassette tapes.
Record Fairs are becoming more and more popular thanks to the resurgence of vinyl. Sugar City was one of the first locally to hop back on the rebounding trend. Therefore the fair tends to attract diehard devoted vinyl collectors who appreciate the DIY nature and foresight of the collective.
