Parker’s Invite You to an English-style spit roast

12091362_1741081506114888_412527544864355072_oThe crew at Parker’s Pitch Bar is sending out the smoke signals, by inviting the community to attend its first English-style spit roast. The feast is intended as a “Thank You Celebration” for putting the British fish and chips company on the Buffalo map.

Since opening four years ago, locals have flocked to support the company, which sends its pork pies (and other British inspired items) all over the world. A while back, the company relocated to South Buffalo, where it has been steadily growing, adding new amenities to its food and drink roster. Parker’s Pitch Bar (or Pitch Pub) was recently featured on BRO.

English-Hog-Roast-Buffalo-NYAfter enjoying a healthy run in the business, the Parker family is ready to celebrate its business achievements. On Saturday, January 30, from 11 am – 4 pm, they will be preparing a free British feast for customers (while supplies last) that includes pork sandwiches with British stuffing and applesauce. On top of that, Pitch Bar will be open for customers, as will the rest of the operation.

The Parkers attribute their successes to the revival of Buffalo as well as to their signature offerings that are produced and sold at their headquarters on South Park.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
