Arctic White Out to Support the Buffalo Zoo

For years, the Buffalo Zoo has been hosting its annual fundraising party in downtown Buffalo called Polar Bites. This year, The Zoo is changing things up a bit. Polar Bites is no more. Instead, Arctic White Out is taking its place. The inaugural Arctic White Out will take place on February 18, from 6pm to 9pm. This year, guests are asked to dress in “all white attire”, in order to get into the spirit of winter.

Activities at the Arctic White Out include spirit tastings from local distillery 1812, a Tom & Jerry station, ice wine samplings from Chateau des Charmes, visits from Zoo animals, dancing, auctions and an indoor snow fall.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
