The waterfront has landed another year round restaurant, thankfully. According to the latest City Hall release, “William K’s, part of the City’s $900,000 Phase II project, opens on December 31, 2015 and is a new addition to the building that continues to house The Hatch.”
Buffalo restaurant operator and catering guru, Molly Ford Koessler (Molly’s World Inc.), the operator behind The Hatch, and now William K’s (named after proprietor Molly’s restaurateur husband, Bill Koessler), said that she wanted to bring a different level of cuisine to the Erie basin Marina, other than the current offerings that includes hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.
“It’s great to see continued transformation and investment along the downtown waterfront and William K’s pairs an incredible view with seasonally-driven menu,” said Mayor Brown. “My administration continues to make major investments at Erie Basin Marina because we know city residents and visitors want more year-round access to Buffalo’s beautiful waterfront, a premier downtown and regional attraction that’s filled with the potential for even more economic growth. William K’s will greatly enhance the experience of city residents and visitors who continue to make Erie Basin Marina one of their favorite destinations.”
William K’s offers seating for up to 64 guests, not including spots at the bar. There is also a substantial patio that surrounds a fire pit. To learn more about William K’s, click here.
