Inaugural In Black and White Hip-Hop Music Festival

Felicia Mack (Scales Management Records) is organizing an inaugural In Black and White hip-hop music festival event with the help of Todd Anderson (host) and Irvin Finks, co-founder The Living Poets Society. The event – touted as the first of its kind in Buffalo – is being held at Shea’s Smith Theater. It is anticipated that artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds will be coming together to help orchestrate what is being referred to as “The Greatest Hip-hop Event”.

The In Black and White hip-hop music festival will include performances by Code Red Global, FeezySwavy, Cake Boss Ent, Nemisis Poe, The States, and Rich $laves. Poetry from LiPs’ co-founder Ben Brindise and cover music played by local band Surviving Friday. Special guest appearance by Team Finks and Loud Pack Records. Music sets by KB from Ruff Ryders and K-Gee from BMM. Dance performance by SHY.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
