It’s time to geek out about Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, as it relates to Erie County. For those who have wondered how Erie County’s GIS mapping system works, you can come experience the system first hand on Wednesday, November 18, at the Rath Building Lobby – 95 Franklin Street.
There will be a map gallery and interactive mapping exhibits to explore. It’s all part of GIS Day! Didn’t know that there is a GIS Day, did you? It’s a day dedicated to the power of maps, and how they can change the way we live, through technological advancements, social story telling, community responsiveness… maps are able to bring us closer together, engage in problem solving, and tell stories of our region and our world.
Attendees will be able to create and print their own parcel maps.
