If you live in Buffalo, chances are you’ve eaten a hot dog from Ted’s, seen art at the Burchfield Penney Art Center or heard about the $5 million that 43North gives out to global startups. But did you ever stop and think who the men and women are that put a face to these brands, the ones that work behind the scenes to give each company life, personality and identity? They are the brand design studio White Bicycle and they are ready to be seen.
Over the past decade, this team of designers has created works that are memorable, multi-faceted experiences. As a means to bridge their practical design principles with a broader appreciation of communication and interpersonal relations, the group is presenting See Through—White Bicycle at Daemen College, a visual display of design installations from White Bicycle’s portfolio and the thinking that inspires the work.
The title, See Through, makes a statement of purpose. It solidifies White Bicycle’s mission of building brands by creating understanding that inspires. This exhibition provides an opportunity for audiences to experience design in a revealing way and see themselves through the work.
Simultaneous with the exhibition, the brand design studio is relaunching its website, www.whitebicycle.com.
See Through kicks off this Thursday, November 5 with a reception from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Daemen’s Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Gallery located at 4380 Main Street in Amherst.
The exhibition will be on display until November 28.
