People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH) is recruiting young people to train in its YouthBuild program. The program is designed to arm young people with the skills that they need to enter the trades business. Along with being supplied with the knowhow to get a construction project done, PUSH is also offering to provide the recruits with help in obtaining their HSE Diplomas (High School Equivalency), get paid, and obtain certifications in various building trades.
Young people interested in learning a skilled job (including at-risk youth) are encouraged to apply for YouthBuild placement. PUSH is helping to build up the affordable West Side housing stock. They have the trades people in place who can teach a young workforce how to get the job done.
Completed applications can be dropped off at 173 Elm St., Buffalo, NY 14203 (enter at 490 Michigan).
